About

Greetings!

I'm a 30-something music teacher living in rural Virginia. When not teaching, I busy myself with reading, journaling, hiking in Shenandoah National Park, swimming, fashion, road trips, party planning, handwritten letters, tea, coffee, exploring new restaurants and cafes, watching old movies, and laughing.

I have spent most of my life peering over the fence at the "greener" grass on the other side, never content with the things I have. I've spent years hating myself for all my imperfections, wishing I was someone else; thinking I had to be someone else in order to be lovable. I turned to fashion as a way to "fix" myself and be accepted by the masses, only to turn into a well dressed shell that forgot to work on her inside. Entering my 30s taught me to pause and appreciate simple pleasures. To be honest. To be vulnerable. To live in the now and stop focusing on what I could have in the future. To celebrate the good parts of myself and remember that as long as I am aware of the less than desirable bits and work to improve upon them, then I'm a step in the right direction.
